The Diocese of Chester seeks a full-time, residential Warden of Foxhill

Foxhill is the Retreat and Conference Centre for the Diocese of Chester, providing hospitality in a prayerful and worshipping setting, set in 70 acres of grounds, situated close to the town of Frodsham in the Cheshire countryside.

A Warden is required to develop the vision and strategy within the Christian ethos of Foxhill. They will be responsible for the development and increase in the use of Foxhill as well as undertaking practical hospitality tasks.

The successful candidate will have experience of leading and managing people in a team and will be competent and confident in the development of Foxhill as a first class retreat centre.  They must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a good eye for detail and the ability to implement innovative ideas.

The remuneration package will include a salary in the region of £27,000, rent-free accommodation in a three-bed roomed bungalow, situated in the grounds of Foxhill and membership of the Church of England Pension Scheme.

Hours of Work: 35 per week, which will include evening and weekend duties.

There is an Occupational Requirement for the post holder to be a practising Christian in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

We are seeking to appoint a treasurer to join our board of trustees and perform the following duties:

Overall preparation of budgets / management figures and advising on financial matters. This includes:

Although most of the duties can be undertaken at home, the role also involves monthly visits to the charity offices in Saunderton to update accounts, respond to queries, manage data protection.

The trustees meet 4 times a year (daytime, usually in London) as well as one 2-day meeting at a central location every 2-3 years. The appointment may involve membership of a sub-committee which also meets 4 times a year.

Please note that the above role may be undertaken by two people.
