God, Consciousness and Science. A silent retreat with daily addresses and offices. Led by Don MacGregor. The world is rapidly changing. How do we move Christianity into the 21st century when so much of its doctrine is still heavily influenced by the medieval mentality? Don MacGregor will draw upon insights from emerging scientific perspectives together with wisdom from the world's spiritual traditions to reach towards a re-imagining of God and the Christ that is meaningful and helpful for today.Some have said "It is now rational to be spiritual" and Don hopes to put some meat on the bones of that tantalising statement by re-examining some central Christian teachings in the light of the universe as we understand it this century.

Praying the Psalms in Changing Seasons. Led by Megan Daffern. In tumultuous times as we have known in the last couple of years, it is too easy to forget to turn to our loving God whose very being is greater than all the changes we can imagine. Turning to him in prayer texts that themselves have endured through generations and millennia can grow stability and new life in us. Megan will spend time with us thinking how we can know refreshment in our relationship with God through using the Psalms in our worship, prayer, and contemplation today.

Meditative evening prayer including Taiz� chants. Last Wednesday of each month except July/August. 7.30�8.30pm. Arrive at 7pm if you wish to practise the songs. No need to book.

In these challenging and unsettling times, how can the skills, wisdom and practices of Mindfulness, Psychology and the Christian life help us navigate the demands and stress of our lives with wisdom and acceptance, drawing us towards peace and live with God in consolation? This weekend will explore the human condition through your own life story, in the context of the Gospel story and the Christian spiritual life, using mindfulness skills and contemplative Christian prayer.

Enjoy a walk of seven to ten miles through the beautiful countryside around Minsteracres, with time for prayer, reflection and sharing of the beauty of creation. You will need suitable walking boots, warm and weatherproof clothing and a packed lunch. The retreat starts at 10am and ends at 5pm.
