Perhaps the most unspoilt setting of any retreat on the south coast. The resident core community members welcome you to a comfortable old house overlooking wood, meadow and deserted beach. An ideal place to de-stress and reflect on life. To meet people of different generations and backgrounds, all on equal terms. ‘Rooted in the Christian heritage, open to the widening future’, we give a positive welcome to visitors of all faiths and none. Our approach to spirituality is down-to-earth, light-of-touch, unafraid to face change. However briefly, you are part of a community, not just a guest. You can – if you wish – join in a whole rhythm of life, from lending a hand in kitchen or garden, to helping shape a chapel service. Events during school holidays are usually child-friendly. 16-19 May Resilient Spirit. Kiran Young Wimberly from the Corrymeela Community leads a retreat to build resilience in daily life, lifting spirits and offering hope.
25-30 June Summer Community Experience for 18-36 year olds.
11-16 Sept Quiet Week. Jane Pearse and Catherine Bond lead another creative and restorative week including periods of shared silence, outdoor activities and inclusive worship.
