Hillside Christian Retreat

Rooms
The accommodation includes a lounge and kitchenette, with a separate bedroom and bathroom. There is a hob, microwave and fridge in the kitchenette for self-catering guests. Tea/coffee/milk/sugar are provided.
Details of local walks, board games, jigsaws, smart TV in lounge and bedroom and access to super fast broadband are all available.
The outside seating areas are situated in the mature garden overlooking a grade I listed medieval church and next to a landscaped pond.
For those staying overnight, a continental breakfast is provided including museli/granola, fresh fruit, yogurt, jam, marmalade, butter, bread from the local baker, and fresh eggs from the hens providing they have laid some the previous day!
There is an electric car charging point that can be used at cost by prior arrangement. (Please note that overnight charging is much cheaper than day time charging).
The Purple Line 36A bus or 36B (evenings) takes you to the historic city of Norwich in less than an hour. The bus stop is a 2 minute walk away. The bus route is operated by First Eastern Counties. Notes
This self-contained ground floor apartment is suitable for a couple or one person. The retreat space is spacious and light, with a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
There is access to a mature garden and outdoor seating/dining, with countryside walks on the doorstep. A two minute walk away is a community meadow which runs alongside the beck.
For an additional fee, spiritual direction sessions and retreats in daily life are available if arranged in advance.

2026 Events
Retreat in Daily Life is available for those staying 5 days or more, if arranged in advance. This includes daily readings and prayer practices, and five 0.5 hour daily sessions with a Spiritual Director, either in person or via Zoom. The 2026 fee is £125.
Individual Spiritual Direction sessions are also available if arranged in advance. The 2026 fee is £50 for a one hour session.
