Could you share in the leadership of the Abbey’s life and ministry?
We are looking for an experienced Anglican priest who will share leadership with the Warden and the senior management team, with a particular focus on the daily ministry of the Abbey and with responsibility for our rich and well received programme of over 40 residential and day retreats a year. You will be joining a community with a daily rhythm of prayer that forms the heartbeat of the Abbey’s life.
You will:
• Exhibit a deep commitment to a personal life of prayer
• Be drawn to contemplative prayer and liturgy, but appreciate a range of Christian traditions and spiritualities
• Be passionate about creating an environment in which people can encounter God
• Be knowledgeable in the fields of spirituality, prayer or spiritual formation
• Have experience of leading workshops and retreats or of adult teaching
• Have experience of inspiring a team and managing a complex workload
• Be prepared for the hard work as well as the joys of a ministry of hospitality

The successful candidate must be prepared to share in rota’d overnight on-call responsibilities, and weekend cover. Given the rural location you will need access to a vehicle and a valid driving licence.
