Notes

PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION ON OUR COMPREHENSIVE WEBSITE BEFORE APPLYING

Our retreat accommodation (called “The Hermitage”) is a free-standing building in the garden of our home on the edge of Cannock Chase – an “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty” . It is self-catering for one person (or a couple) and designed primarily for guests who are looking for a silent retreat. The accommodation is a bed-sitting room with a small kitchen and a toilet/shower room. Our themed gardens are open to guests for prayer and reflection at all times.

Guests are invited to make a donation to our charity, gift-aided if possible. We do not have a fixed charge so that no-one is excluded on grounds of cost. Booking is by email – we tend to be booked up about 6 weeks in advance but we often have occasional days that are not taken.

The nearest train stations are Lichfield City Station and Hednesford. Bus service number 62 operates between these stations on an approximately hourly frequency. The nearest bus stop is in the village of Cannock Wood on the corner of Slang Lane, about 15 minutes’ walk from the retreat. We can normally arrange to meet guests by car if necessary.

Our web site has comprehensive information about the retreat, the themed gardens, and how to find us. Please do read the information about the accommodation before requesting a booking.
