Notes
The Benedictine monastery at Ampleforth is a centre for spirituality and pastoral work.
It is a place where people from all walks of life have the opportunity for reflection and peace, receiving spiritual accompaniment if desired.
The Retreat Centre offers a programme of Guided Retreats, as well as facilities for groups looking for a place to come together and reconnect, or individuals on self-guided retreats looking for a peaceful place to escape the busyness of everyday life.
The Guided Retreat programme offers a diverse range of themes and topics, from Christian meditation to walking retreats. Retreats usually include sessions led by monks, with free time for reflection and prayer or exploring the local area.
Retreatants are welcome to join the Monastic Community in their daily Office in the Abbey Church.
Our comfortable accommodation offers a range of single, double and twin rooms, with full board available.
