Non-Residential
The Centre is the work of the Jesuits in britian. . The team and the work are ecumenical. Although the Centre is non-residential we offer residential retreats in Scotland England and Spain. In 2025 the courses in Ignatian Spirituality are being offer online via Zoom, apart from the Journeying On Course which is both in–person and on Zoom. Spiritual Conversation Course 2025-26- This course will be offered monthly, Online using Zoom, over ten weekends. It is the required first year course for our two year spiritual accompaniment / direction course. It also has value on its own for those who will go on to use it informally in their communities.
You will develop skills to enable you to enter into conversations embracing joy and sorrow, life and death, confusion and the making of good decisions, prayer and following in the way of Christ.
The course is based in the Ignatian tradition and explores the attitudes, skills and ways of listening and discerning found in good spiritual conversation.
The course will benefit you if you are working in the caring professions and teaching or if you simply want to be able to be alongside friends and family and your church community at a deeper level.
Participants should have completed the Growth in Prayer and Reflective Living Course or made the Full Ignatian Spiritual Exercises (30 Day on 19th Annotation) or taken part in some other equivalent experience.
Spiritual Accompaniment Course 2027-28 – This course is for people who wish to explore the skills and gifts of accompanying others on their spiritual journey. It is founded in the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola.
As a broad based course it is expected that participants will find different uses for what they learn - for example, informal spiritual conversation, prayer guiding, general use in ministry/life, beginning to offer individual spiritual accompaniment and retreats.
Applicants should have completed the Spiritual Conversation Course offered by the ISC before applying for this course.
