The House of Prayer is a space for prayer and meditation run by the Sisters of the Christian Retreat (CIO: 1174120) in East Molesey, Surrey.
Our aim is to help people to explore and deepen their relationship with God through prayer, meditation, and retreat. The House of Prayer offers a breathing space and everything needed for a retreat. We offer to others a way of nurturing their relationship with God through prayer, meditation, spiritual retreats, and Christian education. The House of Prayer is ecumenical and welcomes Christians of all denominations and people of good will.
Accommodation on Offer
The House of Prayer is set in its own peaceful garden and offers a spacious and prayerful atmosphere for retreatants. Nestled in a quiet suburban setting, it is a mile from Hampton Court Palace with its gardens and river walks, and nearby parks including Molesey Heath Nature Reserve.
There are eight bedrooms: six en-suite and two standard rooms. Standard rooms each have access to a private bathroom. Rooms have access to guest Wi-Fi and refreshments, including tea and coffee making facilities. Spiritual direction is available upon request and should be booked in advance of your visit to ensure availability. Additional rooms include a prayer room, lounge, morning room, large conference room (accommodating up to 25 people), library / small conference room. Art materials are also available.
