The Haven is set in the beauty of the Northumberland countryside, surrounded by fields, the nearby river Coquet, and with stunning views of the Simonside Hills. Situated 3 miles outside Rothbury, having independent transport is ideal, however, a lift can be arranged from Rothbury to Ryehill. This lovely area can be explored on foot, by bike or using a car. There is a Spar within easy walking distance over the fields and river.

The Haven is run by Ros and Paul Allen, whose prayer is that God will bring His peace and refreshment to the guests who come to stay. The tranquillity and wonderful setting of The Haven is often commented on by guests. It is an ideal place for personal reflection and retreat although no formal programme is offered.
