Retreat Centre Description

Building on the practices of our forebears, 'The Greenhouse at Barnes Close' is a newly re-opened retreat centre for those seeking rooted faith and the flourishing of their communities. We're excited about bringing together action and contemplation, prayer practices with justice acts, loving God and loving neighbour. As such we welcome groups and individuals to stay for led (catered) and self-led (self-catered) times of spiritual seeking and refreshment which feed and nourish in ways which bring transformation in our own lives and so our communities.

If you are drawn to peace and reconciliation work, we are currently learning from our heritage as the 'Community for Reconciliation' and building relationships with peace and reconciliation groups. Some of our led programmes will reflect themes of reconciliation with self, God, others and creation and we welcome new Friends of the Greenhouse who are interested in this area.
