Retreat Centre Description
Wisdom Centre is a tranquil meeting space offering warm hospitality. We are set amongst beautiful gardens in the centre of the historic market town of Romsey. Able to accommodate and cater for up to 40 guests (non-residential), Wisdom Centre offer a variety of meeting rooms and good quality catering options for away days, quiet days, workshops, creative sessions and therapy. Individuals needing a quiet, reflective space are also welcome. Our labyrinth garden is also enjoyed by groups and individuals who value time out for reflection.
Wisdom Centre welcomes Church groups, spiritual groups, prayer groups. Our centre welcomes Christians as well as Advaita, Buddhist and other practitioners. organisations as diverse as healthcare, spirituality, carers, law, charities, technology, therapy and counselling use the centre. Events at Wisdom Centre include our programme of community and spirituality events, creative workshops, charity and fundraising events.
Wisdom Centre is a ministry of the daughters of Wisdom, an international congregation of Religious Women.

Our events include quiet days and workshops suitable for those exploring and developing thier spirituality, faith and practice/ in a comtemplative and ecumenical setting which is welcoming of other traditions. Our programe includes Christian events in the contemplative, mystical and Celtic traditions alongside more traditional scriptural/ reflective material. We include in our programme, self development, mindfulness, creativity and interspiritual approaches which welcome and include practitioners of Buddhism, Advaita Vedanta and others.
We also run a well developed programme on 'Wisdom Spirituality' based on the Wisdom literature in the Bible and the teachings of the founder of the Daughters of Wisdom, St. Louis Marie de Montfort.
