Rooms - 3 separate and self-contained sanctuaries on two sites for individuals seeking spiritual direction. All 3 are en suite, self catering with private kitchen and sitting areas. One person per sanctuary. Extra rooms are available for small groups by arrangement.

Notes - Non denominational. One-to-one spiritual direction available to retreatants.

Private gardens, labyrinth, meditation room, access to libraries and a resident spiritual director at each site amidst beautiful, open country. SSF was set up by a group of NHS staff and supporters in the 1980's to provide teaching in the healing arts and accommodation for those stressed and burned out. The facilities are now available to anyone seeking rest, retreat and reflection. We have develped expertise in supporting those in burnout, especially carers of all kind including ministers, social workers, teachers, doctors, nurses and so on. Our spiritual directors all have training in healthcare, interfaith ministry, counselling and spiritual direction and offer an open, inclusive and confidential service.
