10 single en suite, 8 single, 14 twin en suite, 3 twin, 8 double en suite, 6 double, 2 triple en suite, 3 triple, 1 family (1 double, 1 single), 2 quads (1 double, 2 single) en suite Beacon Centre a further 15 rooms in bunk-bed type accommodation with 1–5 beds in each room, totalling 44 beds Octagonal meeting room, lounge, library, art room, chapel, Preston Suite (4 separate rooms used for youth, art, crèche etc), dining room, 2 small meeting rooms (for 3–4 people). Capacity for up to 50 day visitors.
Notes
Lee Abbey Devon was founded in 1946 with a vision to 'rekindle the fires of faith, prayer and witness'. As such we welcome guests to come and intentionally encounter the presence of Jesus Christ. It is hosted by an international Christian Community for whom it is home. Situated on a 288-acre estate within the stunningly beautiful Exmoor National Park in North Devon, it has its own beach and tea cottage. We run a programme of week-long and weekend Christian retreats on themes as varied as prayer, discipleship, the environment, science, creativity and wellbeing. Guests are welcome to come as individuals, couples, families, small groups and church groups to be renewed, refreshed and resourced. Come and join in with the programme at Lee Abbey Devon or, if you prefer, simply come and find your own rhythm and space in this ‘thin’ place.
A wide range of discounts are available for those in ministry and we have a bursary fund to help those who might not otherwise be able to come. We are also able to welcome those taking a sabbatical from full time ministry.
