A non-residential Pastoral Centre in York next door to the Bar Convent.

St Bede's is a charitable work of the Congregation of Jesus and offers a wide range of events, courses and retreats both in centre and online.

Honouring the uniqueness of each person and rooted in the Christian Wisdom and Ignatian traditions, we seek to meet all those we welcome wherever they are on their spiritual journey and to accompany and nurture them into greater wholeness and fulness of life.

The main Ignatian courses offered are a 2 year Personal and Spiritual Development Course, a 1 year Training in Spiritual Conversation Skills Course and a 2 year Training in Ignatian Spiritual Accompaniment Course.

We offer a varied programme of quiet days and workshops in centre and online. Again, this year we focus on some contemporary wisdom figures and many other varied themes.

Please note that we also offer a variety of different sized rooms for hire with a discount available for small charities.
