Retreat Centre Description
The Living Well is the Canterbury Diocese Centre for Healing and Wholeness, located in a rural peaceful and beautiful setting. It offers individual day retreats, facilitated and self-led group retreats (for up to 16 people), themed quiet days, weekly worship, deeper healing days, in-house courses and supportive listening and healing prayer for individuals. Our spaces include a library, chapel, lounge/meeting rooms, garden with a large labyrinth and 4 heated cabins. There is also an independent room with kitchenette and adjacent bathroom on the first floor, above the garage.
We are fully compliant with Canterbury Diocesan Safeguarding policies as we also support Christ's Healing Ministry in local parishes.
Accommodation on Offer
2 large garden cabins each accommodating up to 3 people, 1 medium cabin and 1 small cabin accommodating 1 person, 1 upper room for individuals or groups up to 12 people.
The house (lounge, library, chapel, kitchen, 2 toilets including one disabled) for groups up to 16 people.
Garden with various sitting areas and a large walking labyrinth.

2025 Events
The centre offers a full programme of non-residential healing and quiet days. The facilities are also available for groups (up to 16 people) and personal quiet days. Alternatively, The Living Well team can provide days outside the centre within parishes throughout Kent. Please contact us for further details.
Weekly Service of Healing and Wholeness: Every Thursday at 10.30am. Everyone is welcome, no booking is necessary. Individual prayer appointments can be booked on Thursday afternoons.
Monthly Deeper Healing Days: One-to-one prayer ministry. many of us continue to recycle or repeat hurts we have received over the years. A deeper healing day enables us to be listened to and prayed with in order to bring release and peace through prayer. It is not counselling but is an opportunity to listen to ourselves and God in a safe and welcoming place where confidentiality will be respected. 10am-4pm. Places are limited. Clergy Oasis Days offer a space to be with God for ordained ministers and include Holy Communion. Lunch is provided. Fri 31st Dec, Tue 8th July, Mon 17th Nov. 9.30am-4pm. £25
Readers Refreshment days: these days offer a space to rest and meet with God for Readers. Lunch is provided. Fri 21st March and Fri 12th Sept. £25
Courses: Christ's Healing Ministry - led by the chaplain on 5 Tue afternoons 1.30-4pm 18th March - 15th April. Healing the Wounds of Trauma - led by assistant chaplains on 6 Tue afternoons 1.30-3.30pm 2nd Sept - 7th Oct. £35 for the course
